Dairy Animal Health and Welfare
This heading lists federal and state animal health officials and voluntary programs relevant to dairy animal health and welfare. The Animal and Plant Health and Inspection Service (APHIS) oversees all animal health and welfare programs on the federal level. APHIS divisions, as well as each state animal welfare website, or state veterinary website are linked under this heading. Three dairy industry programs also provide voluntary standards for dairy animal health and welfare.

Voluntary Industry Programs
The dairy industry has also created voluntary animal health programs for dairy producers. The National Dairy Farmers Assuring Responsible Management (FARM) Program has an Animal Care Program that has quickly become the universal voluntary industry program.
